Introduction of Myself

Hello! I am John Chagares, a junior at Curry College in Milton, Massachusetts. I am from the small town of Malvern, Pennsylvania. I have always been around computers as if it were built into my DNA. This lead me to decide on becoming an IT major with a Business Management minor. I am currently still searching and researching where I will attend graduate school after my college years. After graduate school, I have thought about joining the service as a Coast Guard Cadet, Marine or Air Force Cadet. My dream is to one day work as a Software Engineer in Private Sector and or even start up my own tech company, as for what kind of company; that has yet to be determine. 

Curry has allowed me to excel in many aspects of my IT background. I have the privilege to work for Curry as a Peer Tutor, Teachers Assistant and Peer Advisor. These jobs have allowed me to take the knowledge I learned and help teach those who need a helping hand, which benefit their knowledge as well as my own. As one of my students said to me, "You can help many people but you ultimately teach yourself the material more." As I work many jobs during my academical year, I also always strive to do my best and go above the average and take 18 credits averagely a semester. I am constantly looking for new opportunities to expand my knowledge of IT and Business Management. 

As my next adventure will take me on trip to Silicon Valley in the next two weeks, I am looking forward in learning more about the start ups to the large cooperate companies located there. I am ready to learn about the obstacles, objectives, criticism, balances, and sacrifices it took to develop an idea into a company to survive. Silicon Valley is a place where dreams come true and take off in great success!
